Petite Fashion Challenge 18: Date Night

This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge hosted by Easy Petite Looks asks us to: IMPRESS OUR DATES (i.e. put an outfit together for “date night” with the significant other or a girls’ night out).

The outfit below, purchased at White House Black Market at a recent trip to Rochester (my first time at the store!), this loose-fitting, flowing blouse and cropped pants, paired with black Christian Louboutins are not only comfortable, but great for a brunch or dinner at a nice restaurant (or, at least one that doesn’t require you dress up-dress up a la old school dining rooms at many country or city clubs).  In fact, I regret not wearing this to my three Summerlicious (Toronto’s prix fixe culinary event (three course meals at the participating restaurants are $15, $20 and $25 for lunch and $25, $35 and $45 for dinner) that just ended on July 22 – the winter version is called Winterlicious) meals with my husband!

Another picture, this time with a bag (Coach):

Pictures of some of the things we ate at Summerlicious:

“Combination Plate” from Tabülè, a Middle Eastern restaurant in midtown Toronto (on Yonge, between Eglinton and Davisville) featuring humüs, babaganüj (eggplant dip), tabülè and falafel)

Chicken curry with veggies and thin noodles from Cantine (Avenue Road and Davenport, just outside of Yorkville, proper)

Panna cotta from Ciao Wine Bar in Yorkville

Thanks again to Easy Petite Looks for hosting!!

Note: if you’ve been following my tweets or Facebook posts, you’ll probably know that we’re going to be doing a major overhaul to Shorty Stories.  This will happen late August-September-ish.  Watch for more information soon!

that’s a super fun top! love it! (and the food looks deeelish!) xox P

    • Thanks! I really liked the food too (favourite was the dessert from Ciao).

  • Looks like you really had a great night ^^ nice top and the bag is sweet too 🙂

    • Glad you liked it.  The food pics were actually taken over three different dinners on three different nights – the last one was kind of last minute.  I had made reservations at the restaurant, forgetting that they were taking part in Summerlicious.  Didn’t know until they called to confirm my reservation and told us that we had to be out of there in two hours.

nice oufit!  the pants look good on you…i’ve been trying tapered-styled pants…not pulling them off as well as you!

    • I fell in love with the pants the moment I saw them.  They’re really comfortable and I think I can wear them into September or October – provided that my trouser socks don’t roll down.
