As August ends, the days get shorter and the weather cools down. Though it can still be quite hot in September and going into October, it’s time to think about fall styles and what to wear in the cooler months ahead. Here are some items that I’d love to get:
I saw this online and also in my last trip to Manhattan. Should have tried it when I was at the store, but didn’t get a chance. It looks like something that hugs a figure quite nicely. Only issue is that it could be a very awkward length for petites in that too-far-below-the-knee (but not ankle length) sort of way.
Anthropologie Dashes Knit Blazer:
I prefer knit blazers over “regular” ones as they’re softer. This one, either paired with denim as presented in the image or with a skirt or dress like the one above looks so versatile and can be a great replacement to another Anthropologie knit blazer I’ve had for some three years.
J.Crew Minnie Pants
Yes, I know, I already have two pairs, but this is becoming my fall/winter staple, to be worn with long sweaters and tall boots. I have a black and a charcoal pair and thought it would be great to get something in colour.
Cole Haan Air Tali Waterproof Boots:
To wear with skinny pants or pencil dresses/skirts! 🙂
DVF 1974 New Julian Two dress:
This dress is more all-season (or rather, most season as it probably would be too hot to wear in the summer) and the cool shade is a lovely contrast to the warm colours typical for fall.
J.Crew Lady Day coat 2012:
I already have a Lady Day from 2010 (that still fits very nicely and looks great), but if I were to get another one, I’d probably go for a brighter shade, perhaps the one above (retro jade).
Tory Burch Anthea dress:
I think Shopstyle may have the description incorrect as there’s no mention of leather on the official Tory Burch website. Looks very comfortable and great for work or dinners out.
What are your thoughts on these pieces? Anything you’d like to get for the upcoming season?
