New York Fashion Week starts this coming Thursday, the same day as opening night for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Both events are stylish, in cities where constant heel wearing isn’t ideal and involve a lot of celebrity sighting and perhaps even be photographed by others. And not to mention unpredictable temperatures. Early September can be boiling during the day, yet cool at night, meaning that fall styles filled with boots and sweaters aren’t at all appropriate for daytime nor would a sundress and sandals work at night. So what’s a girl to do while she celebrity watches or attends shows or films (especially if she’s at New York Fashion Week, sitting in the front row)? Of course, that all depends on what look you’re going for – professional, casual or chic:
A Casual Professional Look (say you’re media and probably more NYFW-appropriate than TIFF unless you’re going to interview stars):
A Fun Day Look:
A Little More Chic for Evening (this would be more of a look for a TIFF gala premiere):
And of course, none of the looks would be complete without:
The glasses above would probably work better with the first two looks, of course.
